WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I VISIT JOURNEY CHURCH ON A SUNDAY?

You should expect to be comfortable and relaxed.

Our dress code is casual and as long as you have clothes on, you’re good. In the lobby you can find out more about us at our Connections Table and get your kids checked into Journey Kids. In the lounge area make sure and grab free donuts, a cup of coffee or a bottle of water, and feel free to bring them into the auditorium. We want you to enjoy your time with us.

You should expect to meet a lot of friendly people.

We think it is a privilege to have you join us and we want to make sure you know that. There will be friendly people to greet you at the doors, answer your questions at the Welcome Center, and check your kids in at Journey Kids. We want you to feel welcome.

You should expect great classes for your children.

Our Journey Kids program is for children from birth through 5th grade. You will be able to check all of your kids in at our Journey Kids check-in area and then escort them to their classes. Journey Kids is divided into four age-groups and each group meets in their own age-appropriate classroom. The groups are: Nursery (Birth-24 months), Toddlers (2-3 years old), Pre-School (4-5 years), and Elementary (Kindergarten-5th Grade). Your children are always welcome to join you in the main service as well. You can find more information about Journey Kids here.

You should expect church that makes sense.

We believe that the message of the Bible is both life-changing and life-giving but that it has to make sense to us in order for it to help us in our daily lives. Our services include contemporary music, Biblical teaching, video, and the creative arts in a way that is designed to help us connect to God on a personal level and apply His truth to our lives. Our main service starts at 10:00 am and ends at 11:15 am.

WHAT TYPE OF CHURCH IS JOURNEY CHURCH?

Journey Church is all about helping people take their next step toward christ. We believe it is possible for church to be the highlight of the week for the entire family. We know this happens when we focus everything on Jesus, connect in community, and learn straight from the Bible.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE SERVICES?

Services are on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. JOURNEY Church meets at 4409 121st Street in Urbandale, IA (50323). We are just west of the interstate, between Meredith and Douglas. You can also join us online every Sunday morning on Youtube or Facebook. You can get the details here.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

JOURNEY Church is a church for everyone. We encourage people to come as they are and dress in what feels most comfortable.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?

When you arrive you can expect a very hospitable environment. YOU CAN GRAB ONE OF OUR DESIGNATED GUEST PARKING SPOTS and you'll be greeted warmly. If you have kids, you can go to the kids check-in station and check them into Journey Kids where they will have a blast. Be sure to grab a free hot cup of coffee or bottle of water and head into the auditorium for service to begin promptly on time @ 10 am.

WHAT IS A SERVICE LIKE?

Journey Church is an engaging, dynamic atmosphere geared towards ministering to your entire family. JOURNEY Church is full of life, creativity, love and encouragement. There is a live band that will lead in worship and a Jesus-centered message by one of our pastors. The entire service lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

At Journey Church we love kids! From infants to elementary age, we have done our best to help your children have a blast while learning about Jesus. We have created a fun and safe environment for them by implementing our kids’ check-in and check-out system. You can make checking your kids in fast by pre-registering them here.
